This September I’m turning 24, and as much as getting older scares me in some ways, I’m loving the process of getting to know myself more and more with each passing year. I love that slowly I’m coming out of my shell. I love that slowly I care less of what others think of me. The more I age, the more comfortable I get in my own skin. Since starting this business, I’ve learned that I am an ambitious person with an entrepreneurial spirit. Chelsea and I are always dreaming up new ideas! I’ve learned that my time is more valuable to me than money will ever be. I’ve discovered that I want a job that fills me up and allows me to be innovative and have fun.

I’ve had some time of off work lately, and I’ve had the chance to experience life out of the office setting. My time off has made me realize now more than ever how badly I want to be a full time photographer. I’ve always told Chelsea that I don’t have to make any more money than I do now. If I could match my salary and set my own hours, then I would feel fulfilled and happy. If I could just find a way to get time back out of my day to sleep later in the morning until my body naturally tells me to wake up and to work out in the mornings before starting my work day and if I could be my own boss and not make a penny more, then my heart would be content.

I’ve started to find little things that soothe my soul, like playing the piano, which I haven’t done in years. Also, I found out that I’m really good at putting puzzles together.  I love turning off the TV and listening to the rain during a storm. During my staycation, it stormed on one of the days, and I was able to turn off the t.v. and play the piano while listening to the rain. It was the most at peace I have felt in a long time.

So far, I am loving my 20’s. I’m constantly learning and trying new things.
