“What’s the story behind Kirby’s beautiful engagement ring?” We asked Josh as Kirby went inside their newly renovated home to change into her dress. His face lit up and a genuine smile stretched across his face. “Well, it’s an interesting story,” Josh replied. 

After going back and forth between rose gold and yellow gold and Kirby’s love for vintage inspired things, Josh made up his mind to import her engagement ring from the Holy land of Jerusalem. Though a beautiful plan, it didn’t come without hang ups, like being held in US customs for inspection, but luckily they finally let it through, and now that’s just a funny anecdote that Josh gets to tell every time someone gushes over the ring on Kirby’s left hand. (Which we predict will be a lot, considering that it’s absolutely gorgeous!) 

They also got a surprise when Josh opened the ring box at dusk on the beach because there was a hidden light in the ring box that clicked on as soon as Josh posed the question that would change their lives forever. 

Rings can be just a piece of jewelry that someone wears everyday, but this ring is something special. It is the beginning of a family tree and an heirloom that generations to come will treasure.
