Our Main Goal For 2019

Personal

February 22, 2019

At the start of each year, Chelsea and I always look back on the past year and evaluate the work that we’ve done. We look at everything from our accomplishments to our failures, and we use each opportunity whether good or bad to create new goals for each year.

We started setting goals this time last year, and it was extremely helpful to really focus in on each item when it came to creating content, marketing, and running our numbers. While we didn’t accomplish every single goal (we made several), our biggest take away was to make less goals this year, and each goal we do make should be made more intentionally.

When we sat down this year, we both agreed that our main goal was to make more friends in the wedding industry.

Over the last two years, it has just been the two of us. Entrepreneurship can be incredibly lonely and isolating as you hustle to build your business, and we both desire to make connections with people just like us. Creatives who love the wedding industry, and people who see time as their currency and not money. Creatives who crave support and inspiration from people who share similar experiences.

This past September, we shot at Firefly Lane alongside two videographers. It was our first time working with other creatives on a wedding day, and it was SO much fun. We felt like part of a team!!

So with the goal of building relationships in mind for 2019, every action we make this year will be geared towards this main goal. Making friends and creating a community. I hope this time next year, we will have a list of friends we can meet with for monthly coffee chats to catch up on not only business but life as well.

We’d love to hear what your goals are for this new year! Feel free to email us or reach out in the comments below!
