Chelsea’s Current Favorites (January)

Personal

January 10, 2019

Have you ever gotten caught up in your daily routine and feel as if the whole week is dragging on and on? I certainly have. One of the best ways I’ve found that I can break up the monotony is to purposely add in activities that I can look forward to during the day. For me, that’s spending time with my family and friends, reading great books, and listening to music and podcasts. If I can surround myself with people that inspire and encourage me to live my best life, I’m much more motivated to keep moving forward.

I want to share a few books and podcasts that I’ve been into lately. If you’re like me and need a few new voices in your life, check out the material below!

01. Podcast: Armchair Expert

This podcast is hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman. They mostly interview actors, but the interviews are not like anything I’ve ever listened to before. Dax asks anything but superficial questions. You learn so much about how people think, cope with life, and stay inspired. Plus, it’s super funny! I listened to one episode and was hooked. I was even stuck in traffic for 2 hours going to work one day and didn’t really mind because I got to listen a little longer.

02. TV: Victoria

Hannah and I both are weirdly obsessed with anything that is British, filmed in the past, and has some aspect of a love story. If the show or movie has all three, we’re absolutely on board. I really enjoyed Victoria, it’s based on Queen Victoria and her life with her husband, Albert. There’s two seasons on Amazon Prime if you’re interested.

03. Playlist: Guilty Pleasures Playlist on Spotify

The name of this soundtrack sounds a little sketchy, but I’ve been jamming to it for a week now! It’s songs mostly from the 2000’s that you forgot that you love. It’s full of those songs that you have no idea how you know all the lyrics to. I love it!

Song Example: Stacy’s Mom. Enough Said.

Well, there you go– a list of things that have been inspiring me lately. I hope you can check a few of them out! If you, shoot me an email and tell me your thoughts!
