Hannah and I love to explore old historic homes. We found our love for the past time when we were in Charleston a few years ago, and it seems like we’ve been mentioning that we wished we were there a million times over the past few weeks. Instead of taking off to South Carolina, we decided to explore the Charleston-y places around Nashville, and Belle Meade Plantation was at the top of our list.

We had a blast exploring the home, grounds, and winery of Belle Meade, or “beautiful meadow.” The tour guides are dressed to match the era and are a wealth of historical knowledge. We also, of course, dreamed about shooting a wedding here in the future. We really felt like we were on vacation for a few hours, which was exactly what we needed to be refreshed for a new week. If you’re from Nashville and haven’t been to the Belle Meade Plantation you should go, and if you’re planning on visiting Nashville sometime in the future add this stop to your list!
