The forecast was grim… We had been watching the weather for weeks as we anticipated Anastasia and Tristan’s wedding at Aldridge Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama. Much to our surprise, the very first rain drop fell as we snapped the shutter of our cameras one last time before the reception. How amazing is that?! But, I will say, even if it would have rained the entire day, I highly doubt it would have dulled the joy of this day one bit.

From the very first meeting with this sweet couple, we knew that we were going to do whatever we could to help them have the wedding day of their dreams. Anastasia and Tristan are one of those couples that you just know love each other undoubtably to the core. The light in their eyes shined so bright, we could even see it through our iPhone screen, as we met with them for the first time over FaceTime.

We saw that light again as we met them in person at their engagement session when they happily drove all the way to Nashville from Birmingham just for us! So sweet!

As if we didn’t think it could burn any brighter, that light was never as evident than on their wedding day. The anticipation grew more and more intense as the first look grew closer. Then, we got to experience one of the sweetest first looks EVER as Tristan got to see how gorgeous his bride looked for the first time. Hannah even mentioned how beautiful Anastasia looked, and Tristan smiled and said, “that is an understatement.” Swoon.

As if they weren’t cute enough, Anastasia and Tristan wrote their own vows… So much was said, but the one theme that stood out on both sides was the fact that each of them makes the other better. This makes total since because they’ve been together since high school. They were together through some of the most formable years of life, and they will undoubtably be together through many, many more. They will continue to pull out each others strengths, lift each other up when they are weak, celebrate in moments of triumph, and grow together in times that are challenging. Marriage is such a beautiful thing!

Anastasia and Tristan, thank you both so much for inviting us into you inner circle. We were so honored to meet your friends and families as you celebrated such a big, beautiful milestone– the beginning of your marriage. We can’t wait to see what you two do next! We will be there in the background following you on Instagram, cheering you on as two of your biggest fans!
