Life is so fleeting. We never know what is right around the corner, which is why we believe that taking updated family photos is so important. Not to be morbid, but when we lose a loved one, typically the first thing we do is reach for a photo of them so we can remember them as they were in life.
What we have left is the photos we have of them and the memories that are attached to those photos. We feel strongly about ensuring that we give the families we work with beautiful images that accurately represent the relationship they have with one another and the love that they share.
Hannah and I both lost one of our grandparents in the same year so we know what it’s like to wish we had more photos to flip through that show all of the stages of life we lived with our grandparents. I wish I could lay all of moments out I spent with my grandfather each year out on the table and watch as we both grew and aged together, but we didn’t take the time to take photos together each year so those memories just have to live in my head instead of on paper. While that’s ok, our memory tends to fade while photos last a lifetime.
In fact, one of our favorite parts of this job is to create albums and prints that document the current story of a family. An album you can put on your coffee table or bookshelf that you can add to every year, and in time, become your life’s story.
We are going to give your family a chance to document your story soon! Stay tuned to our blog and social media to find out more.
