We all know what it’s like to go down the Pinterest rabbit hole. Am I right?! You type the word “wedding” into the search bar, and you are suddenly scroll through photos of the perfect invitations, floral arrangements for days, and barbie and ken doll look-a-like couples doing that “we were caught in the most perfect pose laughing in the cutest, most romantic way.” I know you know what I’m talking about!
Exhibit A and Exhibit B…
You get super excited knowing that those moments are ahead for you. And, I’m not here to burst your bubble, those are in the future for you, BUT to tell you the truth, those Pinterest worthy moments take some planning.
Let’s Break it Down…
Detail Shots
Choose details like a ring box, for example, that match the color palette of your wedding. If you want to make it look even more Pinterest worthy or high-end? Monogram it!
You can also ask your florist to leave extra florals for the photographer so they can be utilized in the detail shots. Having the same florals in your details, bouquet, and on the tables at the reception make the decor feel so much more cohesive and planned out.
Wedding Party Shots
Expect that your photographer may make you do weird things like look at each other and laugh or do a serious face while looking in opposite directions, but know, that gorgeous photos like these will be in your future! These images are some of our favorites because you and your friends truly look like you are having the time of your lives, even if you are thinking your photographer is crazy in the moment. Just relax and follow directions. We promise, you’ll love the end result.
Bride and Groom Portraits
The number one way to get those Pinterest-worthy bride and groom portraits is to loosen up and get comfortable in front of the camera. The way we plan for that is with engagement sessions. Two hours to teach our clients posing tips and how to have fun with one another while in front of the camera.
You have one main goal during this time: love on each other. The more genuine you feel in real life, the sweeter the images will be.
Don’t stress about what to do with your hands or whether to smile or have a serious face. We are there behind the scenes with you the whole time!
We will direct you on what to do! Just listen to us and love your person. The result will be gorgeous photos that will end up inspiring someone else on Pinterest! Pinky promise.
We hope this helps put some of those Pinterest images into perspective for you!
