Chelsea and I LOVE photographing the bride and her bridesmaids in the getting ready room! It is one of our favorite parts of the entire day! We know there are so many decisions a bride makes for her wedding day! Our goal as photographers is to make the entire process as simple and seamless as possible. Because we know our detail oriented brides put so much thought into everything, from the invitations to their getting ready clothes, we want to share some of our favorite ways to make getting ready for the wedding day as memorable as possible! Not only are these ideas super cute, but they also make for great photos for your album!
- A champagne or sparkling grape juice toast in fun glasses with cute straws.
- Matching PJ’s, Button-down shirts, or matching robes.
- Crank up the music.
- Matching hangers for bride and bridesmaids dresses.
- Confetti poppers.
- Snacks- donuts, cake pops.
Before wedding days, Chelsea and I always send a bridal guide about 30 days before our the wedding with information about different types of details that we can photograph. We also advise our brides and grooms to have all of their details together in a box set to the side for us. This is something we recommend! It helps your photographer get right to work and helps them stay in line with the timeframe. Also, if you have natural light in your getting ready room with light colored walls and lots of windows, then that is a huge bonus!!
